Mrs. Macauley was involved with Americares from the start, when she and her husband Bob rescued a group of orphans from Vietnam and went on to establish the organization in 1979. She cared deeply about the staff of Americares and the people they served, becoming one of the organization’s strongest advocates. The Macauleys devoted their lives to philanthropy.
Your gift to the Leila Macauley Memorial Fund will go to support the ongoing work of the Americares Free Clinics providing free health care to low-income Fairfield County residents without health insurance.
